Aumento de frecuencias en la línea de autobús Vitoria-Logroño

Offers 16 expeditions per direction, from Monday to Saturday, and 14 expeditions on Sundays

The Alavabus line 9 connecting Vitoria-Gasteiz and Logroño will increase its frequencies starting this Wednesday as it transitions to the summer schedule. From April 16 to October 31, the service will consist of 16 expeditions per direction from Monday to Saturday, and 14 expeditions on Sundays and holidays.

In a statement, the Diputación de Álava specified that it will resume routes through Montaña Alavesa with stops in the towns of Peñacerrada, Bernedo, Yécora, Oyón, and Ventas de Armentia.

The line 9 maintains two different service offerings throughout the year: the winter schedule, from November 1 to April 15, and the summer schedule, from April 16 to October 31.

It was noted that the summer schedule for this line was reinforced last year in 2024 through the modification of the AR03 Rioja Alavesa concession contract to provide more expeditions, frequencies, and seats.

The Vitoria-Gasteiz/Logroño bus will thus offer a total of 16 daily expeditions per direction from Monday to Saturday, and 14 daily expeditions per direction on Sundays and holidays.

Most of these expeditions follow the route along the N-124 road (Las Conchas), with stops in Laguardia, Hospital de Leza, Samaniego, Ábalos, and Labastida, but will also operate through the Herrera and Bernedo mountain passes.

Thus, the line will resume its service through Montaña Alavesa until October 31, serving, among others, the towns of Peñacerrada, Bernedo, Oyón, Yécora, and Ventas de Armentia. Specifically, four expeditions on weekdays will pass through the Herrera pass and stop in Peñacerrada, and two expeditions will pass through the Bernedo pass with a stop in the town of the same name.

COMARCAL TRANSPORT

Finally, in parallel, the Comarcal Transport lines serving Treviño, Peñacerrada, and Bernedo (16 Treviño East, 17 Treviño West, 20 Urizaharra/Peñacerrada, and 21 Bernedo) will adjust their schedules to the summer schedule of Alavabus Line 9.

Alavabus Line 7 Vitoria-Gasteiz/Lagrán will also operate on a summer schedule starting this Wednesday. Its service will decrease due to Line 9 passing through Montaña Alavesa and will consist of four daily expeditions per direction from Monday to Friday, with two of them traveling to Lagrán.

During weekends, public transportation connection is provided by Line 9 and the Comarcal Transport service, allowing passengers to connect with Line 9 and access Vitoria-Gasteiz or Rioja Alavesa and Logroño with four expeditions per direction.

Users can check the services and schedules of Alavabus and Comarcal Transport lines on the alavabus.eus website, the Alavabus app, and by calling 945 18 20 60.
